Campaign Setting
The following is copied from page 3 and 4 of the Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign book.
More than five hundred years ago, clans of dwarves and gnomes made an agreement known as the Phandelver’s Pact, by which they would share a rich mine in a wondrous cavern known as Wave Echo Cave. In addition to its mineral wealth, the main contained great magical power…
For centuries, rumours of buried riches have attracted treasure seekers and opportunists to the area around Phandalin, but no one has ever succeeded in locating the lost mine. In recent years, people have resettled the area. Phandalin is now a rough-and-tumble frontier town. More important, the Rockseeker brothers – a trio of dwarves – have discovered the entrance to Wave Echo Cave, and they intend to reopen the mines.
Unfortunately for the Rockseekers, they are not the only ones interested in Wave Echo Cave…

I have officially started a Critical Role conversion of the Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure. The idea has been kicking around in my head for a while now, but it wasn’t until I finished my map of Jorenn Village that I decided to dive in. I quickly added some labels to create an LMoP version of the map and started working on the regional map. Today, I finished that map and wanted to post them both as a teaser (and motivation).
Town Map
The modifications to the town map were pretty simple. All I had to do was add some labels for the key landmarks and let you take care of the rest. I didn’t label the home’s of the various NPCs because nearly all of them lived next to or behind their place of business on the official Phandalin map. It seemed like unnecessary clutter.
Regional Map
Creating the regional map was a lot of fun. It basically involved tracing the basic geography from the Tal’Dorei campaign guide and placing the mountains, trees, roads, and rivers. I then used the 2MinuteTabletop Wonderdraft assets to add Jorenn Village, Turst Fields, and the various landmarks.
I did my best to place all of the landmarks a similar distance from Jorenn Village as they are in the source material. Westruun (the stand-in for Neverwinter) is a little farther away and off the map, but you can choose to start in the city, on the road, or 5 minutes from the ambush. The choice is up to you.

Now that the maps are complete, I’m going to get started on the notes and rewrites I need to make. My goal is to create something that can be posted online, so I’m going to have to avoid copyrighted data like the plague. It seriously limits what I can include in the finished product, but we’ll see how it goes.
